How to deal with excavator's inability to climb slopes?
Symptoms of weak climbing ability:
Recently, excavators have shown normal and powerful movements when walking straight, but they experience weakness when climbing slopes. How can we eliminate the weakness of excavators when climbing slopes?
Cleaning method for the weak climbing problem of Komatsu PC130-7 excavator:
1.Check if there is air in the system, and if so, exhaust it
2.Check if the oil suction filter is clogged, and replace the filter if it is clogged
3.Check if the oil outlet pipe of the pump is unobstructed
4. Check the pilot pressure: Connect a 60bar pressure gauge to the pilot pressure measuring point and check if the pressure meets the specifications (34.5 bar). If it does not meet the specifications, adjust the pilot pressure control valve. If it cannot be adjusted, check the pilot pressure control valve: check if the valve core is worn (replace or repair), adjust the tension spring (53.8mm in length) for fatigue or breakage (replace the tension spring), and check if it is stuck (remove foreign objects). If it is normal, there may be a problem with the pilot gear pump. Repair or replace the gear pump
5. Low hydraulic pressure of the walking pilot can also cause the excavator to have weak climbing ability: check the walking pilot pressure, unscrew the screw plug on the walking pressure switch connector, connect a 60bar pressure gauge, and operate the walking pilot handle (estimated to be greater than 30bar, partially about 18bar); If it is abnormal, check for repair or replacement of the pilot valve. The first priority is: insufficient stroke (adjustment), too soft pressure regulating spring (replacement), stuck or worn valve stem (removal of blockages or repair or replacement)
6. Check the pressure of the mutual injection relief valve: Connect a 600bar pressure gauge to the pressure tap of the front and rear pumps, clamp the track, and operate the walking control rod. The normal pressure should be 368bar. If the pressure is abnormal, try adjusting the relief pressure of the mutual injection relief valve. If it cannot be increased, check the mutual injection relief valve. First, check whether the pressure regulating spring is tired (replace) and the sealing cone surface (grind). If it is stuck by foreign objects, remove the foreign objects. If the mutual injection relief valve is normal but the pressure cannot be adjusted high, proceed to the next step
7. Check the leakage condition of the central reverse joint: Disconnect the two high-pressure pipe joints on the left (right) side and block them with plugs. Operate the walking lever. If there is a lot of oil flowing out from the two oil ports of the reverse joint, it indicates that the leakage is severe. Repair and replace the seal (or reverse joint). If it is normal, proceed to the next step
8. Check for motor leakage: Remove the motor oil drain pipe, connect an oil pipe from the drain port to a container, operate the walking lever, and if the leakage is severe, repair and replace the motor; The leakage rate of the motor is not more than 15l per minute under a pressure of 200bar. (It can also be checked by disconnecting the high-pressure oil pipe of the motor, plugging it with a plug, and reading the pressure value. If the pressure is higher than before, it is a motor leakage.)
9.If the valve stem of the multi way valve is stuck in a semi closed position or the cooperation gap is too large for severe leakage, it will result in weak operation
10.The phenomenon of excavators being unable to climb hills due to incomplete brake release: The main reasons for incomplete release are: A. The brake pilot valve is stuck (removed) by foreign objects; B, Brake cylinder oil seal damaged and leaking (replace seal); C, The oil passage from the balance valve to the brake pilot valve is blocked (remove) If everything is normal, it is possible that the motor bearings or reduction mechanism are stuck.
