Due to the onset of winter in most parts of the country, the maintenance of excavators and their accessories has become urgent. Do you want your "love machine" to safely survive the winter? Save the following maintenance items as soon as possible!
1. The correct posture for spreading butter
In winter, the outdoor temperature is low, so it is important to choose the appropriate butter. If the butter is not chosen correctly, it can easily damage the butter gun. Applying butter is something that needs to be done every day, and one should not stop because of the low temperature and fear of freezing. This will cause wear and tear on the parts of domestic excavators, which is not worth the loss.
2. Cooling water discharge method
Before turning off the engine, work at idle speed until the cooling water temperature drops below 60 ℃ and the water is not hot to the touch, then turn off the engine and drain the water. When releasing water, the remaining water in the body should be completely drained to prevent the water from freezing and expanding, causing the body to crack.
3. Carefully inspect the water tank
The radiator of the water tank should be carefully inspected to see if it has aged. If there are any problems, they should be dealt with in a timely manner. Especially in winter, problems are more likely to occur.
Check and increase the antifreeze. If the antifreeze is insufficient, some of the antifreeze in the engine will evaporate. Over time, if the antifreeze is short, it will cause abnormal high temperatures in the engine. Antifreeze should be added to the centerline of the auxiliary water tank. (In winter, it is necessary to increase antifreeze and not replace it with water, especially in northern regions. Once it freezes, it can cause the engine to freeze and crack.)
The thermostat of domestic excavator accessories plays an important role in heating up the diesel engine during operation. When the water temperature is high in summer, the thermostat should be removed, and in winter, a thermostat is required to prevent the excavator temperature from being too low during operation.
4. Be careful when starting the excavator
The air filter cannot be removed. Instead, dip cotton yarn in diesel and ignite it to create a flame starter, which is then placed in the intake pipe to initiate combustion assistance. In this way, during the start-up process, the dusty air from the outside will be directly sucked into the cylinder without filtering, causing abnormal wear of domestic excavator parts such as pistons and cylinders, and also causing rough operation of the diesel engine, which can harm the machine.
5. Maintain sufficient oil level
Check if the fuel level in the diesel tank is sufficient. If it is insufficient, fill it up with diesel to avoid rusting of the inner wall of the fuel tank for domestic excavator parts.
6. It is best to place the battery indoors
Winter arrives and the outdoor temperature is too low, which can weaken the storage capacity of the battery. It is necessary to pay attention to the battery voltage value, otherwise the battery may run out of battery the next day. If conditions permit, the battery should be removed and placed indoors.
Attention: When disassembling the battery, first disconnect the negative wire, then disconnect the positive wire; When installing, connect the positive wire first, and then connect the negative wire. This can prevent short circuits when disassembling the battery.
7. Carefully bake the oil pan
Baking the oil pan with an open flame may cause the oil inside the oil pan to deteriorate, even burn, resulting in a decrease or complete loss of lubrication performance, and then exacerbating the wear and tear of domestic excavator parts. Low pour point engine oil should be selected in winter, and the method of using an external water bath to heat the engine oil can be used to increase the temperature during startup.
In the harsh climate of the north, in addition to the maintenance of domestic excavator parts, excavator enthusiasts should also pay attention to taking care of themselves. After all, the body is the capital of innovation! As the pillar of support and the hope of a family, a strong physique is the root of maintaining all of this!
