Methods for extending the service life of bucket teeth for imported excavator accessories
1. Practice has proven that during the use of excavator bucket teeth, the wear of the outer bucket teeth of LiuGong excavator accessories is 30% faster than that of the inner bucket teeth. It is recommended to switch the position of the inner and outer bucket teeth after a period of use.
2. The specific type of bucket teeth should be determined based on the working environment during use. Generally, flat head bucket teeth are used for excavation, weathered sand, coal face, etc. RC type bucket teeth are used to excavate block shaped hard rocks, and TL type bucket teeth are generally used to excavate block shaped coal seams. TL bucket teeth can improve the coal block extraction rate.
In practical use, users often prefer universal RC type bucket teeth and advocate not to use RC type bucket teeth unless under special circumstances. It is better to use flat head bucket teeth, as RC type bucket teeth wear out for a period of time and increase excavation resistance like a 'fist', wasting power. Flat head bucket teeth always maintain a sharp surface during the wear process, reducing excavation resistance and saving fuel.
3. The driving method of excavator drivers is also crucial for improving the utilization rate of bucket teeth. When lifting the boom, excavator drivers should try not to retract the bucket. If the driver lifts the boom while retracting the bucket, the bucket teeth will be subjected to an upward traction force, causing them to tear apart from the top and damage the bucket teeth. This operation requires special attention to the coordination of the movements.
Some excavator drivers often exert too much force during the actions of expanding the arm and sending the forearm, quickly "knocking" the excavator bucket onto the rock, or forcefully dropping the bucket onto the rock, which can break the teeth of the bucket, or simply crack the excavator bucket and damage the large and small arms.
4. The wear condition of the tooth seat of the excavator accessory is also very important for the service life of the excavator bucket teeth. After the tooth seat wears down by 10% to 15%, it is recommended to replace the tooth seat. Due to the large gap between the worn tooth seat and the bucket teeth, the fit between the bucket teeth and the tooth seat, as well as the force point, have been changed, and the bucket teeth have cracked due to the change in the force point.
5. The excavator driver should pay attention to the perspective of excavation during operation, and try to grasp the excavation as much as possible. When excavating, the bucket teeth should be perpendicular to the working surface, and the outward inclination angle may not exceed 120 degrees, to prevent the bucket teeth from breaking due to excessive inclination angle.
Also, be careful not to swing the excavation arm left and right under high resistance conditions, as this can cause the teeth and seat to crack due to excessive left and right forces. Due to the mechanical planning principles of most types of teeth, left and right force planning is not considered.
