Brothers who have experience in excavator maintenance will find that there is a huge gap in the quality of domestic excavator parts and imported excavator parts. Domestic parts are often cheap and easily damaged, while parts imported from Japan, the United States, and South Korea are often expensive and of high quality.
Why can't domestic excavator parts compare to imported parts from Japan and other countries? Today, Chuanna Hydraulic will analyze it in depth with you.
Chinese companies are dying too quickly!
First of all, you must know a basic fact: the average lifespan of Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises is only 2.5 years, and the average lifespan of Chinese group enterprises is only 7-8 years. Compared with the average lifespan of European and American enterprises, which is 40 years, and the average lifespan of Japanese enterprises, which is 58 years, it is simply a world of difference.
There are as many as 21666 companies in Japan with a history of over 150 years, and next year there will be 4850 more that will celebrate their 150th birthday. In the coming year, there will be 7568 more that will celebrate their 150th birthday
In China, the oldest enterprise is Liubiju, founded in 1538, followed by the scissors brand Zhang Xiaoquan in 1663. In addition to Chen Liji, Guangzhou Tongrentang Pharmaceutical, and Wang Laoji, there are only five old stores in China with a history of over 150 years. After the variation during the planned economy period, the inheritance of its brand name has actually been greatly reduced.
Japan is known as the "country of craftsmen", and the technological structure of its enterprise group is like a "pyramid", with a large number of excellent small and medium-sized enterprises with their own strengths for hundreds of years. These companies may have less than a hundred employees, but they provide high-tech, high-quality components and raw materials to large enterprises in the long run. Many small and medium-sized enterprises hold an absolute share of certain intermediate products and technologies in the global market, and there are even some that are unique.
Japanese people are naturally inclined to pursue ultimate perfection, rigor, persistence, and striving for excellence. They will not take action when they believe that their technology is not yet perfect. In terms of technological research and development, Japan ranks first in the world in three indicators: first, the proportion of research and development funds to GDP ranks first in the world; Secondly, the proportion of R&D funds led by enterprises in the total R&D funds ranks first in the world; Thirdly, Japan's core technology patents account for over 80% of the world's top patents.
This means that the entire country of Japan attaches great importance to technological research and development, and also tells us why Japanese technology can dominate the world. Economy is not just about building factories and operating them efficiently. There is still a big gap between China and Japan in terms of economic infrastructure construction. Japanese companies are not just superficial Toyota, Panasonic, Sony, Canon, Hitachi, etc., but more "invisible kings" in various fields in the international market.
China still has a long way to go from being a powerful country. To become a real economic power, we can't rely on real estate, finance and IT foam. We also need to learn from Japan's pragmatic spirit and support it by down-to-earth and cultivating solid industries.
There are many reasons why Japanese longevity companies have thrived. Japanese longevity companies are doing better than those in Europe and America. Japanese companies emphasize strategic investment, focus on long-term investment and profit returns, and consider market positioning and changes decades later every time they invest.
Japanese companies are a society that values the interests of their employees. The West values shareholder interests. From the perspective of modern capital theory, the capital interest rate of Japanese companies may not be as high as that of Western companies, but they can maintain long-term interests and continue to do so.
Reflecting on how Chinese enterprises operate and think?
Why is there a big gap between China and Japan? Pursuing diversity
Most entrepreneurs in China, especially those in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions, seem to have some kind of talent for making money. So, after achieving some success in their main business, many people immediately start a "diversification" strategy, investing in real estate, stocks and securities. It is not surprising that Chinese people have the characteristic habit of being eager for quick success and instant benefits, both in enterprises and among the people.
And Japanese entrepreneurs seem to be more interested in the product itself. Communicate with a young Japanese entrepreneur whose company specializes in automotive bearings. To be honest, car bearings are indeed a small product, nothing extraordinary. But as soon as he mentioned his product, he began to dance and his eyes lit up, seemingly enjoying the process of design and production in particular.
Originally, his father was the chairman of the company, his brother was the general manager, and he was the director and vice president in charge of technology. The company is not large in scale, with around 100 people, but the clients it serves are well-known companies such as Toyota, Honda, and Suzuki. They don't seem to have any other business at home either. He said that there are too many things that need to be studied for optical bearings, and several generations cannot fully understand them. How can we have the energy to do anything else?
From the difference between the two, Chinese people only make money, while Japanese people pursue careers.
The result of both can be imagined... Japan has tens of thousands of century old enterprises, while China has none of them in the true sense of a century old enterprise, which is the reason.
Actually, if we take a closer look at globally renowned brands, whether it's Nintendo, Microsoft, Nikon, Mercedes Benz, Toyota, * * *... they seem to always focus on a certain field, always getting deeper, more fun, and bigger in their industry.
However, our enterprises, including Chinese brands such as Haier and Lenovo, have not been completely successful in their respective fields and have started investing, real estate, and even health products. They are busy making money and seriously neglect their respective fields, which is a typical example of neglecting their main business. This is probably the gap between our Chinese brands and Japanese brands.
I remember some time ago, CCTV reported on a region in Zhejiang that could quickly have the processing and production capacity of a certain product among the top few in the world, but at the same time, it quickly gave up its original industry and entered another industry, and then quickly became one of the top three in another industry.
But no matter what industry one works in, the factory buildings are always so dilapidated and the equipment is always so rudimentary. So, they can't withstand any wind or rain, they did make some money, but this accumulation of wealth is unsustainable, and they haven't gained the respect of their peers.
During the inspection at the Tokyo Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Center, the leader who led us on the tour had a sentence that left a particularly vivid memory in my mind:
Now you Chinese are too powerful, your learning ability is too strong, just like running. We run ahead, you chase behind, and your speed is getting faster and faster. We are more and more worried about being caught up by you. Therefore, we have to innovate. To innovate, we must increase investment, and to increase investment, we must raise prices. Only then can we maintain our weak advantage in the fierce competition and survive. Therefore, we must focus, innovate, and strive for excellence, which is also what you have forced us to do
On the surface, his words seem to praise us, saying that we have strong adaptability, but in reality, they are criticizing us for not knowing how to focus and innovate, only copying and plagiarizing. Our technological level and capabilities cannot be a threat to Japan at all, it's just talk. We should have self-awareness. There is an old saying in China that goes, 'Even a tiny mistake can lead to a thousand miles, let alone a thousand miles we have lost.'?
China's production technology, many core technologies and equipment come from Japan and cannot be replaced. Every aspect of national life is also filled with Japanese technology and products, even the core technology in domestic products is still provided by Japan, and all of this is irreplaceable.
China has been poor and weak for hundreds of years, and we have not even understood our own basic situation. It is very dangerous to be arrogant with even a little achievement.
So, entrepreneurs should love products and brands, not money. Making money is just the result of business, not the goal of business.
3. Different understandings of technology
In the eyes of Chinese entrepreneurs, technology is basically equivalent to advanced equipment, so Chinese bosses buy more and more advanced equipment, but they are reluctant to spend money on training technicians, and there are even fewer bosses who train all employees.
When I was designing the corporate image for a furniture company before, I heard a true story: the owner of a furniture company was willing to spend 7.5 million yuan to buy a Japanese equipment, but needed to spend 400000 yuan to train a group of technicians, but was reluctant to part with it. As a result, the equipment was damaged by someone who didn't know how to operate it, and had to spend another 500000 yuan to repair it. In fact, such examples are everywhere in China.
Let's talk about examples from around us, not from afar. The cameras carried by Chinese businessmen are getting higher and higher, ranging from Canon's 50D to 5D-MAX2, and even to 1DS-MAX3. They are becoming more professional and high-end, but upon closer inspection, they are all using the foolproof mode.
Buying a camera is easy because we are not short of money, but we are reluctant to spend time studying and researching. There is a young lady in my group who saw the good photos I took for her and asked me what model it is. I said my Canon is only one or two thousand.
She said their camera is also Canon, with over 150000 yuan, but the shooting effect is not as good as mine. So, people's narrow belief that as long as the equipment is good, the things they take pictures of are first-class is obviously a bit ridiculous and foolish. Domestic excavator accessories
Japanese people are different from Chinese people. They may be frugal when buying equipment, but they are more willing to spend money on learning technology, and more willing to spend money and energy on digesting technology. To give an inappropriate analogy, our equipment scored 100 points, their equipment may score 80 points, our ability to use may only score 30 points, and others may use 95 points. This is 100 x 30%, only 30 points, while 80 x 95% has 76 points. They outperform us with equipment that scores 80 points, which is the difference in technology and soft power. So, equipment is not the most important, technology is the most important.
The key to technology is comprehensive digestion and full mastery by all personnel. In fact, if a company engages in the design and production of a certain product for a long time, the information, resources, and technology they possess will become increasingly systematic and profound, and their advantages will become more and more obvious. It is impossible for any new entrant to catch up in the short term.
The gap between Chinese and Japanese companies can be summarized in one sentence: they may seem to understand on the surface, but they simply cannot learn or persist.
For example, Japanese people require that the floor of the workshop be cleaned ten times a day in order to maintain environmental cleanliness and product quality. After listening to it, Japanese people promise to do it ten times a day, not less than once, and persevere. We have no problem with ten times in the first three days, but after a week, it turns into eight times. Gradually, the eight times turn into five times, and the five times turn into two times. Finally, we cannot guarantee once every three days, once every five days, or once a week.
We are doing even the most basic thing like this. Many technical indicators and details are distorted in such self relaxation, which in turn affects the quality of products and corporate reputation. In the long run, where will the brand come from?
4. Different understandings of speed
Chinese people are particularly fond of pursuing the Great Leap Forward in their work, and the mentality of being eager for quick success and instant benefits is extremely serious. Chinese people like to focus on immediate results when doing things, emphasizing the so-called efficiency and speed. But Japanese people seem different from us. Japanese people may appear procedural and rigid, but behind them lies rigor, precision, persistence, pursuit of excellence, focus, professionalism, and seriousness. Most Chinese people are more flexible, but behind them are cleverness, cutting corners, self righteousness, and shoddy production.
In fact, we can see that Japan's economic development is still far ahead of ours, and the structure and quality of development are much better than ours. The Japanese economy's energy consumption and environmental damage are not on the same level as ours, but are vastly different. Our unit energy consumption is 150 times that of Japan, which means that for the same thing consumed, Japan creates 150 times more value than us. This is worth pondering: what is fast? What is slow?
Japan's economic development is aimed at benefiting the people and achieving higher goals for the already high-quality quality of life. China's economic development is for comparison and showing off. What's even more frightening is that the blind "patriotic enthusiasm" of the majority of the people will lead China to take more detours
Just like the roads in emerging cities in China, where gas pipelines have just been repaired and dug open, water pipes will be laid in six months, and liquefied gas pipelines will be dug open and laid in a few days... The speed at which we repair highways is also surprising to the world! Unfortunately, every time you walk on the highway, you will find that roads are being repaired here and there, and highways need to be renovated within two or three years after they are built.
And all of these are included in GDP. It costs one billion to build a road, another 80 million to build it, and another 50 million to build it. Our GDP is 230 million. They can get it done with one hundred million or one hundred and two hundred million yuan at a time. On the surface, they seem to spend a little more money, but their speed is a bit slower. However, they can get it done in one go without any fuss or waste.
In my opinion, the so-called "fast" must first be based on ensuring quality. Only such fast is meaningful, otherwise it comes and goes quickly, lives and dies quickly, and builds and collapses quickly. Any development we make should follow the laws of natural science, and we should not aim to achieve it overnight. Breaking the laws of nature and promoting growth will inevitably lead to failure, and the same goes for branding.
Japanese brands, such as Sony, Panasonic, Toyota, Canon, etc., have spent at least tens or hundreds of years building their own brands, while in China, apart from time-honored brands (quality is not the same at all), the number of truly market-oriented brands is only 20-30 years.
So, don't be impatient, don't rush for quick success, calm down, endure loneliness, focus on development, and in fifty years, China will definitely produce a batch of big brands. But if China continues to be so eager for quick success, impatient, self righteous, and eager for great achievements, world-class brands will never emerge in China.
What is a brand? For consumers, a brand is an experience or a trustworthy promise, while for businesses, it is a tool for profit. So, building a brand is fundamentally an investment. Of course, some investments can yield immediate results, while others may not show significant returns in the short term and may require a long wait to see results.
People with long-term vision know how to increase investment in brand building because they have patience. Some people feel discouraged when they see that their investment in the brand has not paid off in the short term, and think that it is more cost-effective to invest in stocks or buy properties. Over time, he will realize that he has made a very serious mistake, and by then, this mistake is irreparable.
5. Different understandings of rules
The so-called 'rules' refer to regulations and laws. In this regard, Chinese people are always much smarter than Japanese people. They can always find loopholes in the rules and always play a little smart. But Japanese people are different. They look silly and only know how to strictly follow and execute with determination.
So, Japanese people are very punctual in their work and never late. This is different from the fact that Chinese people are often late and taking a flight is always a mistake, and there are endless reasons for it. In addition, Japanese people tend to be polite and respectful towards each other, and even close friends tend to bow and bow when breaking up. At first, I was a bit unaccustomed to it. It always seemed a bit fake. Why are you so polite even though you're so familiar with me? Later on, it was discovered that their politeness was genuine and heartfelt.
Because Japan is a high-quality country that places great emphasis on etiquette and civilization, it has formed a highly regulated and orderly society. When waiting for a bus in Japan, you can't see the Chinese characteristic of rushing to the top, but in fact, queuing according to the rules not only won't waste time, but also save everyone's time. If everyone goes to squeeze, overall it will actually waste time. Everyone may understand this principle, but Chinese people just can't do it.
So Chinese people only have little cleverness, from local officials to business owners, executives, and even ordinary people, they are always performing our little cleverness. We are constantly paying a heavy price for our cleverness, but we still remain steadfast. Domestic excavator accessories
The progress and level of civilization of a society are directly related to people's understanding of rules. The more rules there are, the better the order, and the more freedom there is. Without rules, it will be scattered and chaotic, and efficiency will be impossible to talk about. There is an ancient Chinese saying that goes, 'Smart people are often misled by smart people.' This is probably the truth behind it! Sadly, lamentable!
