1. Excessive wear of the piston, piston ring, and cylinder liner can cause oil to enter the combustion chamber, leading to a rapid increase in oil consumption. When the wear gap between the piston ring and the cylinder wall exceeds 20% of the normal value, the oil consumption will increase by more than twice.

2. Wear of the connecting rod bearing, crankshaft bearing, or oil pump will result in excessive clearance between the bearing and the shaft diameter, leading to increased oil leakage, decreased pump oil pressure, and accelerated oil consumption.

3. When the thermal deformation of the cylinder liner exceeds a certain limit, the piston and piston ring cannot fully adapt to the deformation of the cylinder liner, and in some cases, there will be a large oil upward passage, causing the oil to enter the combustion chamber and burn, resulting in abnormal oil consumption.

4. Dust accumulation and blockage in the radiator fins of a diesel engine, wear or poor operation of the water pump, and excessive or blocked water scale in the waterway can all lead to poor heat dissipation and abnormal oil consumption in the diesel engine.

5. Blockage of the air filter will cause a decrease in the intake pressure of the combustion chamber, resulting in excessive negative pressure and oil flowing up into the combustion chamber, leading to a sharp increase in oil consumption.

6. Other reasons. Including: piston strain, burning of connecting rod bearings and crankshaft bearings; Damage or failure of valve guide seal ring; Oil leakage.
