Selection of cutting parameters for bearing sleeve machining
Selection of back cutting amount
When rough machining, with the rigidity of the process system and the power of the machine tool, try to take a larger back cutting amount as much as possible to reduce the number of feed times; During precision machining, in order to ensure the machining accuracy and surface roughness requirements of the parts. Based on the quality requirements of the processed surface, tool materials, workpiece materials, and machine tool functions, refer to the cutting parameter manual or relevant material selection: rough machining external summary α p=2mm, semi precision machining external summary α p=0.75mm, precision machining α p=0.4mm; Coarse boring α p=1mm, fine boring α p=0.3mm.
Selection of feed rate
During rough machining, based on the machining material, tool holder scale, workpiece diameter, and determined back cutting amount, refer to the cutting parameter manual or relevant materials and combine with the machine tool operation manual to select: rough lathe f=0.2mm/r, rough boring f=0.15mm/r; During semi precision machining and precision machining, according to the requirements of surface roughness, based on the workpiece material, tool tip arc radius, and cutting speed, the following values are selected: semi precision machining f=0.15mm/r, precision machining f=0.1mm/r, and precision boring f=0.1mm/r.
Selection of spindle speed
Based on the determined back cutting amount, feed rate, and durability of workpiece and tool materials, refer to the cutting parameter manual or relevant materials, and select the cutting speed Vc by looking up the table. Coarse turning Vc=120m/min, semi precision turning Vc=130m/min, precision turning Vc=140m/min, rough boring Vc=60m/min, precision boring Vc=70m/min. Then use formula (2-5) to calculate the spindle speed.
Vc =πdn/1000 (2-5)
In the formula: n is the rotational speed of the workpiece or tool (r/min)
Vc is the cutting speed (m/min)
D is the rotational diameter of the workpiece or tool corresponding to the selected cutting edge point (mm)
Based on practical experience, the final determined spindle speed is: rough machining n=600 r/min, semi precision turning n=800 r/min, precision turning n=1000 r/min, precision boring n=700 r/min, and threading n=500 r/min.
