Reasons for hydraulic component failures in excavator accessories
(1) Hydraulic system structure
If the passages of the hydraulic system's pipelines, control valves, and other components are too narrow and there are too many bends, it will cause the temperature of the hydraulic oil to rise, increase the impact force, and simply cause bubbles to form in the hydraulic oil, leading to hydraulic cylinder cavitation.
(2) Hydraulic cylinder parts information
If the materials used to make hydraulic cylinders have good strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance, then their ability to resist cavitation is good; Otherwise, it is prone to cavitation. The uniformity of other data organization also has a significant impact on the occurrence of cavitation. The more uneven the data organization, the easier cavitation occurs in areas with weak strength and low corrosion resistance.
(3) Hydraulic oil quality
The quality of hydraulic oil is an important factor in determining whether hydraulic cylinders experience cavitation. It is inevitable that the hydraulic oil will have impact with valves, pipelines, etc. in the work. If the anti foam property of the hydraulic oil is poor, it will simply have foam, and then cause cavitation in hydraulic cylinders and other parts. If the frequency of hydraulic oil pressure changes too fast or too high, it will also promote the formation of bubbles and accelerate the rupture speed of bubbles. For example, at the inlet and outlet of hydraulic cylinders, due to the relatively high frequency of pressure changes, the degree of cavitation is also relatively higher than other parts.
(4) Production and repair
The impact of the installation or repair quality of hydraulic cylinders on their cavitation should not be underestimated. If the hydraulic system is not adequately vented during installation or repair, it will result in the presence of gas in the system. Under the effects of high temperature and high pressure, the hydraulic cylinder will experience cavitation.
